Welcome

Thank you for visiting to check in on Ryan's progress towards recovery. Ryan has always been there for everyone he knows and right now we all hope we can live up to his example by being there for him and his family while he heals. He is strong and we all know that if anyone can come through this it is him.

While Ryan's injuries are serious and frightening, the best thing for us to do is all stay on the same page with accurate information but also all stay positive and look forward to the good news to come. The aim of this site is to reflect the incremental changes in his condition. Also, this should provide a space to express your love and concern for Ryan and his family.

Slowing things down

Over the past two days, Ryan has been getting agitated/excited when stimulated. When his body reacts, his blood pressure, heart rate and breathing rate all spike. To avoid any complications that can occur when his vitals spike, the doctors are temporarily sedating Ryan. The doctors think his body's reaction is natural and just part of the recovery process as he starts reconnecting the dots. The doctors are hopeful that with time, Ryan will be able to manage his body's reaction and he can continue getting better. We expect things to stay somewhat status quo while he is sedated.

If you're in town tonight, we'll be meeting at Ryan's around 6:00-6:30 with his folks to eat and watch some of the Hornets/Lakers. Feel free to stop by.
